Master Scheduler

DPT is looking for an experienced Master Scheduler for its expanding Production Facility. The Master Scheduler will have a proven track record of production planning, scheduling in a make/buy to order environment. The successful candidate will interface with multiple departments and report to Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Developing a Master Production Schedule using ERP to improve scheduling results
  • Reviewing, comparing, and analyzing schedule performance against baseline program plans
  • Analyzing schedules with the ability to identify and make recommendations to ensure completeness, while minimizing risks and promoting processes to help ensure schedule viability and usefulness to the customer, including discovery and tracking of critical paths for material, engineering and production decision making
  • Collaborating with other managers to derive and create metrics for process improvements
  • Forecasting performance and performing risk analysis of schedules and providing management with an understanding of the current schedule, risks, opportunities and recommended actions to ensure future performance
  • Communicating with Manufacturing, Sales and Customer Service representatives on order status, lead times and shipping schedules
  • Scheduling and releasing production job or work orders to the production floor and working with the Operations Manager to efficiently schedule customer orders, backorders and examine quotes, and predict inventory levels

Qualifications

  • Minimum eight years of experience in scheduling systems to include schedule planning, development and analysis
  • Candidate must have schedule planning and development experience using ERP tools
  • Candidate must have understanding of ERP, materials planning, capacity planning, purchasing in a make/buy to order environment
  • Bachelor’s degree is desired, or additional years of experience equal thereto
  • Candidate must have experience developing, integrating and maintaining complete production plans, master schedules and forecasts which meet or exceed customer objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are strongly desired, as well as the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment. Multitasking is important
  • APICS certification is a definite asset
