Account Manager, Channel Sales

DPT is looking for an experienced Account Manager to work in a busy Sales Department as an Inside Channel Sales person reporting to the Director, Channel Sales.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for existing resellers within a territory and/or at a national level
• Responding to incoming reseller requests
• Creating quotes
• Selling additional units, parts or paper
• Participating in sales initiative programs to general revenue
• Working with Regional and Inside Sales team, along with National Channel Managers to help land new resellers
• Responding to and compiling reseller RFPs
• Attending to administrative work for the National Channel Manager respective territory
• Occasional travel to the US and other parts of Canada

Qualifications

• Sales experience
• Grade 12 or higher level education is required
• Strong people skills and the ability to build relationships effectively
• Ability to sell, learn, and adapt to changes in technical equipment
• Ability to process orders quickly and accurately
• Possess a strong work ethic
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and understand finance terminology
• Ability to set targets and self assess
• Must be detail oriented
• Excellent reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills
• Ability to adjust quickly to responses and actions from different individuals and work with a variety of strong personality types
• Ability to critically analyze a problem, process, or system and suggest a solution
• Basic mathematic skills
• Ability to work on a computer for long periods of time
• Strong keyboarding skills
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook are required
• Knowledge of Power Point is an asset
